Maintenance
Here is what you can do to keep your appliance performing at its best.
Cleaning the brushbar
Switch the machine off and unplug from the mains.
Remove both tanks and lie the machine back.
Remove the 5 screws around the brushbar and the 1 screw by the back wheel. Then, remove the screw at the bottom of the centre bar and lift upwards.
Pull to remove the belt cover. Lift the brushbar out from the left-hand side first.
Unloop the belt from the brushbar. Pull the brushbar to remove.
Using a pair of scissors, remove any threads or hair from around the brushes.
Rinse the brushbar under water to remove any dirt/debris.
Loop the belt around the brushbar and refit the brushbar into the machine. Replace the belt cover and secure all 6 screws.
Emptying and cleaning the dirty water tank
Remove the dirty water tank.
Open the quick pour release spout.
Empty the dirty water over the sink.
Rinse the dirty water tank under water (max 40°C) to remove dirt/debris.
Cleaning the filter
Remove the dirty water tank.
Wipe the filter located on the machine underneath the dirty water tank to clear any dirt/debris.
To re-fit, tilt the dirty water tank and line the back of the tank up onto the carpet washer. Drop the front of the tank forward until the dirty water tank release clip clicks into place.
Cleaning the nozzle
Switch the machine off and unplug from the mains.
Remove both tanks and lie the machine back.
Remove the nozzle.
Rinse the nozzle under water to remove any dirt/debris.
To replace the nozzle, line up the tabs on the nozzle with the tabs underneath the front of the carpet washer. Push the nozzle down until it clicks into place.
