Maintenance
Here is what you can do to keep your appliance performing at its best.
Clearing a blockage in the hose
Remove the dirt container.
Unclip the hose.
Visually inspect the hose for any blockages. Use a blunt instrument, such as a broom handle to remove.
Cleaning the pre-motor filter and separator
Remove the dirt container.
Push the tab on the lid of the dirt container and lift to open.
Pull the filter tab and remove the filter from the separator.
Tap the filter over the bin to remove any dirt and debris.
Rinse the filter under the tap (40°C max, no detergent).
Allow 24 hours to air dry.
Lift the separator from the dirt container.
Use a soft brush to remove any dirt or debris.
Refit the separator making sure it is aligned correctly.
Once dry, replace the filter and close the dirt container lid.
Refit the dirt container on to the machine.
Clearing a blockage around the brushbar
Switch the machine off and unplug from the wall socket.
Using a coin, twist the end of the brush bar to release.
Pull to remove the brush bar.
Using a pair of scissors, cut along the groove to remove any hairs or threads.
Clear any dirt/debris inside the brushbar housing.
Push the brushbar back in to the floorhead and twist to lock into place.
Checking the post-motor filter
Remove the dirt container.
Twist anticlockwise to remove the post-motor filter cover.
Lift the post-motor filter to remove.
Check the post-motor filter for any discolouration, when heavily discoloured it should be replaced.
Clearing a blockage from the brushroll
Switch the machine off and unplug from the wall socket.
Using a coin, twist the end of the brushroll to release. NOTE: The brushroll cover cannot be removed.
Pull the tab down to remove the brushroll.
Use a damp cloth to remove any dirt/debris from the brushroll and allow the brushroll to fully air dry.
Clear any dirt/debris inside the brushroll housing.
Refit the brushroll, pushing the tab in to place.
Twist the endcap to lock the brushroll in to place
