Maintenance
Here is what you can do to keep your appliance performing at its best.
Cleaning the pre-motor filter
Remove the dirt container.
Pull the dirt container lid upwards to open.
Remove the pre-motor filter.
Tap against the side of a bin.
Rinse filter under the tap (no detergent).
Allow 24 hours to air dry.
Emptying and cleaning the dirt container
Remove the dirt container.
Over a bin, press the dirt container release button to empty.
Pull the dirt container lid upwards to open.
Pull to remove the pre-motor filter and tap against the side of a bin.
Lift to remove the separator.
Use a soft brush to remove any dust or debris.
Cleaning the post-motor filter
Remove the dirt container.
Twist to remove the post-motor filter cover.
Lift to remove the post-motor filter and tap against the side of a bin. If heavily discoloured it will need to be replaced - DO NOT WASH.
Clearing a blockage from around the brushbar
Switch the machine off and unplug from the wall socket.
Lie the machine on its front.
Cut any hair or threads from around the brushbar.
Pull to remove any remaining debris.
Changing the belt and brushbar
Switch the machine off and unplug from the wall socket.
Remove the lift off main body and lie the machine on its side.
Undo the 3 screws to remove the belt cover.
Remove the brushbar location plate.
Whilst turning the brushbar, lift the belt to remove.
Remove the brushbar side covers and lift brushbar to remove.
Cut any hair or threads from around the brushbar.
Wipe the brushbar housing with a dry cloth.
Refit the brushbar making sure the end cap is lined up with the brushbar housing.
Refit the brushbar side cover.
Twist to refit the belt.
Refit the brushbar location plate.
Refit the belt cover and tighten the 3 screws.
