Here is what you can do to keep your appliance performing at its best.
Remove the hose from the base of the machine.
Lift the clip under the hose inlet.
Pull the latch out and remove the hose.
Insert a broom handle or similar blunt instrument into the hose to remove blockage.
To reassemble, line up the latch on the accessory hose and push until it clicks into place. Push the other end of the hose into the hose to machine connector.
Press the dirt container release button, pull to remove.
Turn the dirt container lid anticlockwise and lift to remove.
Turn the pre-motor filter anti-clockwise, pull to remove.
Tap the pre-motor filter over a bin to remove any dirt/debris.
Line up the pre-motor filter tabs in the dirt container lid and turn clockwise until it clicks into place.
Do not wash.
Press the dirt container release button, pull to remove.
Hold the dirt container over a bin.
Press the dirt release clip, allowing dirt/debris to fall out.
Turn the dirt container lid anticlockwise and lift to remove.
Lift the separator out of the dirt container.
Tap the separator over a bin to remove any dirt/debris.
Using a soft brush clean any dirt/debris out of the separator.
Line up the tabs on the separator with the dirt container and slide the separator into place.
The separator will sit between the tabs on the bottom of the dirt container when correctly fitted.
Lie the machine on its back. Use a crosshead screwdriver to remove the 5 screws underneath.
Lift to remove the brushbar cover.
Lift to remove the brushbar. Remove and dispose of the old belt.
Clean any debris from the spindle and place the new belt around it.
Loop the other end of the belt around the rounded area of the brushbar.
Line up the right side of the brushbar with the base and push into place. Lift and push the left side of the brushbar until it clicks into place.
Line up the brushbar cover and push until it clicks into place. Replace the 5 screws and tighten to secure.
Press the post motor filter cover clip and pull to remove.
Remove the post motor filter.
Check the post motor filter for any discolouration.
Replace if discoloured. Do not wash.
