Maintenance

Here is what you can do to keep your appliance performing at its best.

Clearing a blockage from the hose
Remove from handle

Remove the hose from the handle.

Remove from machine

Remove the hose from the back of the machine.

Drop paper ball

Drop a ball of paper down the top of the hose. If it gets stuck, there is a blockage that will need to be removed.

Remove blockage

Use a blunt object to remove the blockage.

Cleaning the pre-motor filter
Remove dirt container

Remove the dirt container.

Remove Filter

Pull to remove the pre-motor filter.

Tap Filter

Tap against the side of a bin.

Rinse Filter

Rinse filter under the tap (no detergent).

Air Dry

Allow 24 hours to air dry.

Emptying and cleaning the dirt container
Remove dirt bin

Remove the dirt container.

Empty bin

Over a bin, press the dirt container release button to empty.

Wipe bin

Wipe the inside of the dirt container and separator to remove any dirt or debris.

Wipe Seals

Wipe the seals on the bottom of the dirt container.

Clearing a blockage from around the brushbar
Release lift-out

Press your foot down on the pedal and lift to release the lift-out from the floorhead.

Turn endcap

Turn the tab on the brushbar cover clockwise to release the brushbar.

Remove brushbar

Pull to remove the brushbar.

Wipe brushbar

Wipe the brushbar to remove any dirt or debris.

Recline the floorhead and check from both sides of the tube for any blockages.

Wipe housing

Wipe the brushbar housing.

Refit brushbar

Line up the brushbar with the brushbar spindle.

Refit endcap

Line up the arrows on the brushbar endcap and push the brushbar in to the floorhead.

Lock endcap

Twist the endcap to lock into place.
